Working in and for the state of New York is not easy at the moment. Contract issues and threats of layoffs are looming large over everyone. It makes me want to start my new career but even more nervous about it at the same time.

After many years working as an Engineer in the transportation field, I have decided to pursue a career as a math teacher.

I've been working hard toward a master's degree in Classroom Technology online at Wilkes University.

Changing careers is not only a lot of work, but it's kind of scary! I'm hoping to be able to share my thoughts as I go through the process and hopefully start my new career in the very near future.
